Beer Cheese Stuffer


  • 5 Slices Bacon (or more to taste)
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Stick Celery
  • 1 bottle beer
  • Bread, cubed enough to fill the frying pan. Should have an open texture like sour dough.
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Chicken broth
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Egg


  1. Fry the bacon in a pan with a little oil until well done.
  2. Chop the onion and celery and fry in the bacon fat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Once the onion and celery are soft and have some colour pour in the beer and bring to the boil.
  4. Add the bread and then immediately cover with grated cheese.
  5. Stir and then add bacon bits.
  6. Add chicken broth and flavour with Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Add an egg and stir.
  8. Cover with cheese again and add more bacon.
  9. Stir carefully
  10. Place in an oven proof dish, cover with foil and bake at 180 for 45 minutes.
  11. Garnish with chives.
